The Role:

The Director of Information Technology will oversee all technology operations and evaluate them according to established goals. The Director will devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management. The Director will also analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Oversee all technology operations (e.g., network security) and evaluate them according to established goals.
  • Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management.
  • Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.
  • Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software.
  • Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency.
  • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems and report to upper management.
  • Coordinate IT department employees’ work and provide guidance. – Control budget and report on expenditure.
  • Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or similar field.
  • 5-7 years experience, with at least 3 years managing a staff.
  • Experience working with companies that operate multi-site, multi-state operations.
  • Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, etc.
  • Experience in controlling information technology budget.
  • Excellent organization and leadership skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment

Job Details

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000 – $100,000 per year
